- As a kid, Sumeet wanted to become a pilot or a computer engineer.
- At the age of 16, he started doing theatre and gradually developed an interest in acting.
- His lack of interest in studies can be judged by the fact that Sumeet failed in the 8th, 9th, and 12th standard exams.
- Sumeet was all set to become an engineer, his passion for acting made him gave up on his studies and he started working as an assistant editor in an editing studio at the age of 17.
- His father has worked as a theatre actor and a writer at the National School of Drama (NSD), which inspired him to become an actor.
