SS Rajamouli was born in Raichur, Karnataka, originally from Kovur town in West Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh. Rajamouli had studied in Kovur till the fourth class and he did the twelfth from Elur. After completing his initial studies, SS Rajamouli moved to the state of Andhra Pradesh where he joined Reddy College of Engineering to complete his further studies and earned his bachelor’s degree. Rajamouli began his career as a director for Telugu television shows on Eenadu Television (ETV). SS Rajamouli’s first film came in 2001, the name of the film was ‘Student No 1’ starring NTR Jr and Ghazala in lead roles and the film proved to be a big hit of the year. Rajamouli’s second film came after a break of two years – ‘Shimadri’. In this film, Junior NTR and actress Bhumika Chawla were seen in the lead roles. After this, he made films like Sai (2004), Chhatrapati (2005), Vikramarkudu (2006), Yamadonga (2007). Rajamouli’s film Magadheera, which came in 2009, was a big hit of that year. Ram Charan was in the lead role in the film. He then went on to make films named Maryada Ramanna (2010) and Eega/Naan E (2012).
