She was denied entrance to the IITs, despite her best efforts. So she went to The Lakshmi Narain College of Technology, a private engineering college, to study B.Tech in Chemical Engineering. (Affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya RGPV, Bhopal). Throughout her school and college years, Srushti was active in extracurricular activities.
She is a bearer of an NCC A certificate. Apart from her academic studies, she used to join in debates, was a member of scouts and guides, and was involved in a variety of other cultural activities. She has also attended numerous online meetings with LNCT students after passing UPSC.
