Sikandar Raza is an all-rounder cricketer from Zimbabwe, he is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off-spin. Raza’s ability to contribute equally with ball and bat has put him among the top all-rounders in the world. Born in Pakistan, Sikandar Raza plays international cricket for the team Zimbabwe. He came to Zimbabwe in 2002 and started playing cricket again from there and in 2013, Sikandar made his debut for Zimbabwe in all three formats.
Raza has been performing brightly with bat and ball for Zimbabwe for quite some time now. Sikandar Raza was born on 24 April 1986 in Sialkot city of Punjab province of Pakistan. His father’s name is Tasadak Hussain he has a business of motor parts. Raza has a brother named Taimur Raza Butt. Raza studied at the Pakistan Air Force Public School Lower Topa for 3 years, and after exiting Pakistan, Raza earned a bachelor’s degree in software engineering at Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland.
In his childhood, when Sikandar lived in Pakistan, he did not have much interest in cricket. When he was nine or ten years old, he told his parents about joining the Air Force. Raza had also cleared the entrance exam by working hard to join the Air Force. But due to some problem with his eyesight, his dream of becoming an air force pilot could not be fulfilled.

How Raza Became the Alexander of Cricket
In the year 2002, Sikandar Raza shifted to Zimbabwe with his family. After Sikandar’s dream of becoming a pilot broke, he wanted to become a commuter engineer, and for this, he graduated from Glasgow University in Scotland. But he was not sure about this career as well, after which he started playing part-time cricket in a club there after taking permission from his family. After this, he came to know about a good cricketer hidden inside him.
After living in Scotland for several years, Raza moved to Zimbabwe to live with his parents. Where he started playing domestic cricket. For this, he joined the Mashonaland Eagles, the cricket franchise there, and in a short time, he played cricket for many teams there.
He was performing brilliantly in domestic cricket, after which the Zimbabwe Cricket Board got an eye on him and he got selected in the team. In 2011, he was selected for the Zimbabwe A team, but at that time there was a problem regarding his citizenship, which was soon resolved.

Sikandar Raza made his One Day International debut on 3rd May 2013 against Bangladesh. He has so far scored 3656 runs in 123 ODI matches at an average of 36.56 and a strike rate of 84.24. Which includes 6 centuries and 20 half-centuries. His highest score is 141 runs. Along with this, Raza has taken 70 wickets in this format at an average of 44.63.
T20 Career
