Shubman Gill is an Indian cricketer who plays for India and Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He made his international cricket debut for India against New Zealand on 31 January 2019. Shubman Gill recently played a brilliant inning of 208 against New Zealand on 18 January 2023 and became the youngest player to score a double century in One Day Internationals.
Before the year 2022, he was a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders team. But now in the IPL 2022 auction, Gujarat Titans bought Shubman for 8 crores. Significantly, IPL 2023 started on 31 March. In the 1st match of this league, the match was played between Chennai Super Kings vs Gujarat Titans.

Domestic Career
Shubman Gill was selected for the Pune Punjab Under 16 match at the age of 11 where he played five matches and scored 330 runs there. In 2014, he got a chance to play for Vijay Merchant Trophy Under 16 where he scored more than 200 runs while playing for Punjab.
Shubman Gill scored 351 runs in the inter-district level Under-16 Punjab Mail Markan Trophy held in Punjab, besides this he has set a record partnership of 587 runs with Nirmal Singh in the same match.
IPL Career
He started his IPL career in 2018, during which he was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders team for 1.80 lakhs, his performance in that season was excellent. After this, he was again included in the Kolkata Knight Riders team in the 2020 IPL and this time he got a chance to play as an opener batsman in the team where he won the hearts of everyone with his performance.
International Career
Seeing the consistent performance of Shubman Gill, he got a chance to play in the international cricket team in 2019 where he played his first ODI match against New Zealand, this year he got a chance to play in the test match against South Africa, and this was the first test match of his life.
Recently, Shubman Gill played an excellent inning of 208 runs in 149 balls in the ODI match against New Zealand on 18 January 2023. During this inning, he completed his brilliant double-century with 9 sixes and 19 fours.
