Saumya took up modeling assignments early in her career and was the “Femina Cover Girl First Runner Up” in the year 2006 Saumya co-hosted Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout (based on the Wipeout format) with Shah Rukh Khan in the year 2011. Tandon has hosted Dance India Dance for three seasons, for which Saumya won the Best Anchor award too.
Saumya co-hosted Bournvita Quiz Contest, along with Derek O’Brien for three seasons. In Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, the actress acted the part of Kareena’s part sister Roop Dhillon. Saumya also hosted LG Mallika-e-Kitchen for three seasons. In the year 2015, Saumya began performing the character of Anita Vibhuti Narayan Mishra in the comedy soap-opera Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!.
