Saqib Saleem is an Indian film actor and a model who started his career with the romantic comedy Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge. Despite being the brother of famous actress Huma Qureshi, Saqib has carved a distinct identity in the Bollywood film industry. He has experimented with various roles and done justice to them.
Early Life
While completing his college, Saqib also helped his father run his restaurant. But he had no interest in running the restaurant. He started his journey as a model at that time. His father wanted him to stay in Delhi and get a master’s degree in business management, but he moved to Mumbai. After moving to Mumbai, Saqib appeared in several advertisements. While working in television commercials, he increased interest in films and began auditioning for film roles, eventually signing a two-film deal with Y-Films, a subsidiary of Yash Raj Films (YRF), as an actor.

Career
Saqib started his journey playing cricket from Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir and started moving as a model after coming to Mumbai. During this time he started getting TV commercials. During this time he started getting interested in acting in films. His close friend Varun Bahl helped audition for Yash Raj Films. He was called eight months after that. Saqib Salim made his acting debut in the year 2011 romantic comedy Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge. He was praised for his performance and received a Filmfare Award nomination in the Best Male Debut category. The following year, Saqib completed his two-film contract with Y-Films, a romantic comedy in Mere Dad Ki Maruti (released on 15 March 2013), which proved to be a critical and commercial success. Subsequently, Saqib played a supporting role in the experimental anthology Bombay Talkies (in the year 2013).
Despite not being successful at the box office, the film drew him positive reviews from critics. He was praised for playing the lead role in the critically acclaimed emotional drama Hawaa Hawaai (2014). After that, he appeared in films like Dishoom with John Abraham, Dil Junglee with Taapsee Pannu, and Race 3 with Bobby Deol, Salman Khan. Saqib was also well received for his character Shiv Prakash Shukla, who played in the Zee 5 web series Rangbaaz, and now, in his recently released espionage drama Crackdown, peppered with heroism and action, Saleem played the character of a silent, brooding secret agent
