Riyan Parag was born on 10 November 2001 in the Guwahati district of Assam. Talking about Ryan’s parents, both are sportspersons. His father Parag Das is also a cricketer, who has played for the Assam team and the Railway team.
His father wanted Ryan to become a better cricketer than him and play for the Indian team. Riyan’s father has taught Riyan to play cricket. His mother Mithu Baruah Das is an Indian international swimmer and has represented India at the Asian Championships and the NCAA Games.

Career
On 29th January 2017, Riyan made his T20 debut for Assam in the 2016–17 Inter-State T20 tournament, where Riyan scored nine runs in five balls.
On 17th November 2017, Riyan made his first-class debut for Assam in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy, where Riyan scored nine runs from twenty-one balls.
On 3rd March 2017, he made his List A debut against Railways in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he scored 32 runs in 40 balls with 6 fours.
In the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy, Riyan was the highest run-scorer for the team Assam with 248 runs in seven innings.
IPL Career
Ryan made his IPL debut in 2019 with Rajasthan Royal. Then Rajasthan Royal fed him into their team by giving him 20 lakhs. That year he scored 106 runs in 7 matches with 17 fours, 5 sixes, and 1 half-century, and in bowling, he took 2 wickets.
He was bought by Rajasthan Royals in 2020 for a base price of Rs 20 lakhs. He scored 86 runs in 12 matches that year and did not take a single wicket.
In 2021, Ryan was again fed by Rajasthan Royal in his team by giving 20 lakh rupees and he scored 93 runs in 11 matches.
Apart from this, Riyan also took 1 wicket in bowling. Multiple teams bid on him to buy Ryan in the year 2022. But Rajasthan Royal bought him again for INR 3.80 crores.
