Career
Rajat Sharma started his career as a trainee reporter in the fortnightly magazine Onlooker in 1982. He received a total of 300 rupees instead of his first article in OnLooker, this was his first career earnings. On the strength of his hard work, Rajat attained the position of ‘Chief of Bureau’ of Onlooker within two years i.e. in the year 1984 and editor in the year 1985.
Thereafter, in 1987, he took over as Editor of Sunday Observer, where he worked for two years. After this, in the year 1989, Rajat started working as the editor of ‘The Daily’, where Rajat worked until 1992. After working in these places, he started ‘Aap Ki Adalat’, which was a very successful program. Its first episode aired on 14 March 1993.
In 2004, he launched ‘India TV’ along with many other journalists. The channel gained considerable prosperity due to its serious news. Currently, he is working in this news channel, in addition to ‘Aapki Adalat’, he also appears in the prime time show ‘Aaj Ki Baat’.

- Rajat Sharma started working as a researcher after completing his M.Com degree. Seeing his talent, Janardan Thakur encouraged him to write in magazines.
- He also participated in the JP movement and also met Andonlan leader Jayaprakash Narayan. He was arrested during the Emergency and was kept in Tihar Jail for 11 months during this period.
