Nithin Reddy, known professionally as Nithiin, is an Indian producer and film actor also known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. Nithin was born on 30 March 1983 in Nizamabad, Telangana, India. Reddy made his movie debut in the year 2002 with Jayam (released on 14 June 2002), directed by Teja and produced by Teja, for which Reddy won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South. Nithin Kumar Reddy has been listed as Brand Ambassador for Swachh Bharat Campaign along with nine other stars for Telangana state by former Indian Union Urban Development Minister Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu in the year 2015.

Career 2002−2004
Nithiin began his career with the movie Jayam in the year 2002, directed by Teja. Teja saw Kumar at Sudarshan 35 mm theatre at a screening of Nithin Kumar Reddy’s movie Nuvvu Nenu (released on 10 August 2001) on two occasions, Teja then enquired him about his acting interest and did a screen test and photo session and selected him as the lead role for Nithin Kumar Reddy’s directorial and production venture Jayam, also starring Sadha and Gopichand. In the year 2003, Nithiin played in the movie Dil, directed by V. V. Vinayak. produced by Dil Raju.
Next in the same year, Nithiin played in the movie Sambaram, directed by Dasarath. K. In the year 2004, Nithiin starred in Sri Anjaneyam, directed and produced by Krishna Vamsi, where Nithin performed the character of a devotee of Lord Hanuman. This is also the first movie where Nithiin Kumar Reddy dubbed his dialogues, which until then was voiced by Sivaji
2004−2011
Later his 2004 movie Sye, directed by S. S. Rajamouli, Nithin appeared in many films, some of which are Dhairyam, Agyaat, and Seeta Ramula Kalyanam. However, none of these movies were commercially successful. Kumar also has the distinction of most consecutive flops (12) by any actor in Telugu cinema. Reddy tasted success after many years with the 2012 Vikram Kumar-directed romantic drama film Ishq.
2012−2016
In Ishq (released on 24 February 2012), Reddy paired opposite actress Nithya Menen, which was also co-produced by Nithin’s father Sudhakar Reddy. Nithin acted in the film Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde in the year 2013. Isha Talwar and Nithya Menen performed the lead characters along with Nithiin. Later, Kumar acted in Chinnadana Nee Kosam, a film written and directed by A. Karunakaran in the year 2014, also produced by N. Sudhakar Reddy and Nithin’s sister Nikhita Reddy under their home banner Sresht Movies.
Later the year, Reddy acted the lead role in Heart Attack, directed by Puri Jagannadh. Nithin made the character of a hippie and the movie got mixed reviews. Reddy acted in the role of a courier boy in the movie Courier Boy Kalyan, released in the year 2015, directed by Premsai, and produced by Gautham Menon. Nithiin played in the movie A Aa, in the year 2016, written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, opposite Samantha Akkineni and Anupama Parameswaran. The movie became the biggest grosser in Nithin Kumar Reddy’s career.
2017−2020
In the year 2017, Nithiin acted in the film LIE which was directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. It garnered average reviews from critics and could not play well at the box office. In the year 2018, Nithiin’s Chal Mohan Ranga was directed by Krishna Chaitanya with co-star Megha Akash. The movie played unsuccessfully at the box office. Later the year, Nithin Kumar Reddy starred in Srinivasa Kalyanam opposite Rashi Khanna and was directed by Satish Vegesna. Nithin Kumar Reddy’s 2020 movie Bheeshma (released on 21 February 2020), directed by Venky Kudumula, produce by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, and starring alongside Rashmika Mandanna was a commercial success.
