While Malavika was in school, Malavika began modeling for several advertisements. Thereafter, she was featured in the music video for the song “Rithukkal.” At the age of just 13, she began receiving acting offers. Initially, Malavika played small characters in films such as “Ustad Hotel” (2012), “Karmayodha (2012), and “Puthiya Theerangal” (2012). Malavika acted as her first lead character in the Malayalam film “Black Butterfly” (2013) in which Malavika played the role of ‘Reena’ (a housemaid who faces an acid attack) after that she played the role of Kani in the Malayamal film “Pakida” (2014).
Subsequently, Malavika played the role of a blind girl in the Tamil romantic drama “Cuckoo” (2014). In the year 2015, she made her Telugu film debut with the film “Yevade Subramanyam”.
