Kamya Punjabi started her career as a model. She made her debut as an actor in the 2001 TV horror show Ssshhhh… Koi Hai. Thereafter, she appeared in several TV serials including Astitva… Ek Prem Kahani (2002), Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki (2005), Banoo Main Teri Dulhann (2006), And Beintehaa (2013).
Her negative role as Sindoora in Zee TV’s serial Banoo Main Teri Dulhann gained immense popularity and admired by Indian viewers’. After this serial, she began to get more negative roles, and soon, she became one of the famous vamps of Hindi TV serials.
Apart from this, she has been observed played small roles in films like Kal Ho Na Ho, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, and Koi Mil Gaya.
