Jiah Khan aka Nafisa Rizvi Khan was born on 20 February 1988 (Saturday) in New York City, United States. Father Ali Rizvi Khan was an American citizen of Indian origin while mother Rabia Amin was a Hindi film actress, she is survived by her parents and two younger sisters Kavita and Karishma.
Jiah was brought up across the seven seas in London. Jiah Khan inherited their passion for acting from childhood. So completed studies of film acting and English literature in London and New York. First film and that too with Amitabh Bachchan, the megastar of the century. There could not have been a better and more brilliant start to a film career. Jiah was nominated for the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award for her very 1st film named ‘Nishabd’ (2007). In 2008, Jia’s second Hindi film ‘Ghajini’ was released. In this film too, Jiah got a chance to work with Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan.
Jia’s last and third Hindi film was the film ‘Housefull’ released in 2010 in which her hero was Akshay Kumar. Rabia Khan Jiah’s mother also made serious allegations against actor Sooraj Pancholi, after which Sooraj was arrested on 10th June 2013. Sooraj Pandcholi was released on bail after being in custody for more than two weeks.
