His father’s name is Nem Singh Jurel and has fought the Kargil War for the country by staying in the Indian Army. Who retired from the army in the year 2008. His mother’s name is Rajani Jurel, she is a skilled housewife and he also has an elder sister Neeru Jurel, who used to encourage him to play cricket. In the year 2014, got the title of Best Batsman in the Under-17 School National Cricket Championship T-20. In the championship, Dhruv scored over 600 runs in six matches with four centuries and two half-centuries. In the year 15, played under-14 Raj Singh Dungarpur Trophy from UP. Scored 152 runs in three matches. Scored a century of 137 against Madhya Pradesh in the final match. There were also ten catches and stamps behind the wicket.

In the year 2017, he scored 100 runs in 21 balls in the T-20 series held between Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, and Agra at Hindustan College. Dhruv was the man of the series in this tournament.
