Charith Asalanka is a very famous Sri Lankan cricketer who is a left-hand batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler. He was born in Elpitiya in Sri Lanka on the 29th of June in the year 1997. He completed his schooling at a private school in his hometown and then went to Richmond College in Galle, Sri Lanka to complete his higher studies. He made his first-class debut in April 2015 and then took a long time and gap to make his International debut. He made his International debut for his country and National team in June 2021.

His first presence was seen in the Sri Lanka under 17 team in the year 2013 when they went for a tour to England and he was the top scorer in each innings with 92 runs and 31 runs in a three-day match against England at Loughborough. He started playing cricket when he was in his college and represented his team which was the Richmond College team and helped them to win the School’s T20 competition. He was the captain of the National Under 19 team against the Under 19 team of Australia and Bangladesh.
