Ben Stokes is an all-rounder player for the England team. The real name of England cricketer Ben Stokes is Benjamin Andrew Stokes. Born in New Zealand, Ben Stokes moved to England at the age of 12. He is a left-handed batsman. From making his One Day International (ODI) debut against Surrey in the year 2009 to supporting the country’s triumph in its maiden World Cup in the year 2019, Ben Stokes has come a long way. He is a part of the Chennai Super Kings team in IPL 2023. Ben Stokes was born on 4 June 1991 in Christchurch, New Zealand, but at the tender age of just 12, Ben Stokes settled in England with his entire family and started learning his cricket in England. Ben Stokes’s father’s name is Gerard Stokes, who was a coach and a rugby league player, and Ben’s mother’s name is Deborah Stokes. The family of Benjamin Andrew Stokes went to England after Stokes’s father was selected as head coach of the Workington Town rugby league club. Ben Stokes was brought up in Cockermouth and began to play for Cockermouth Cricket Club. He is married and his wife’s name is Clore Ratcliffe, with whom he has two children, a boy, and a girl. Boy’s name is Leighton Stokes, Girl’s name is Libby Stokes.

Ben made his One Day International debut for Durham at The Oval in the year 2009. That year Ben Stokes played two Test matches against the Under-19 team Bangladesh. Stokes was chosen for the 2019 Under-19 World Cup. Ben’s first-class debut arrived against the Marylebone Cricket Club. In the same year, Stokes made his Championship debut for Durham against Essex. All-rounder Ben Stokes made his maiden first-class hundred against Nottinghamshire. In January 2015, Ben Stokes became a part of the Melbourne Renegades team in the Big Bash League (BBL).

Stokes has played 71 Tests, 98 ODIs, and 34 T20 Internationals for England so far. Apart from scoring 4631 runs in Tests, he has also taken 163 wickets in his name.
